Relationship Coaching
Done with couples, family members or friends who have a relationship together where something is not working and there is a need for change.
It is based on a few major relationship principles:
We deserve to be happy. Our feelings are not right or wrong, they just are Listening is the key to understanding
We all need help at times working on relationships, setting boundaries and re-defining what the relationship is as they are always growing and changing. The biggest component in relationships is realizing that relationships are there to show us where we need to grow and what we would like to change about ourselves.
Powerful shifts can happen by learning how to listen more effectively and to make sure that you are feeling listened to by the other who is in relationship with you. When there is a breakdown in communication, listening stops and walls go up. Once this happens, We tend to respond to others from our past wounds and experiences. When there is understanding brought to this, there can be a space of safety so everyone in the relationship can relate to each other. Once there is a true understanding, tools can be given and healing can occur.
Relationship Coaching sessions are a place for safety, understanding and healing. It isn’t always easy to have the “big” conversations that need to be had. These sessions are a container to help ease in the process. It only works if the people involved are willing to look at themselves honestly and are willing to listen to the other person.
Relationship Coaching can:
- Facilitate peace and understanding
- Assist with better communication skills and tools to work on together
- Bring a deeper sense of intimacy
- Provide a safe space to say things to each other with a 3rd person assisting in communication
- Encourage each person to work on themselves so they can take responsibility for their own growth
